Iceberg lettuce is a basic component of the Mediterranean diet. Large, tight, crisp leaves. The colour of this vegetable is green on the outside and whiter as you get closer to the stem. It is considered one of the world’s favourite lettuces.
Product characteristics: It is a product with a high water content and a low energy value, ideal for low-calorie diets. Rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C, E, B1, B2, B3 and minerals (phosphorus, iron, calcium, potassium).
Romaine lettuce is a variety of lettuce that grows with a long head and has robust, elongated leaves with a sturdy central nerve.
Product characteristics: It is an annual, self-pollinating plant, which does not form a true head, the leaves are oblong, with complete edges and a broad midrib. It is rich in antioxidants, such as vitamins A, C, E, B1, B2, B3, B9 and K; minerals: phosphorus, iron, calcium, potassium and amino acids.
